Insights and Innovations Manager

We have an exciting brand new role! Based in our Dundee headquarters, you’ll work across our magazine portfolio, you will provide insight that underpins innovative projects and be responsible for co-ordinating the planning and development of new products and brand extensions.
As Insights and Innovations Manager you will maintain an overview of trends to understand emerging and declining markets, and utilise data sources to analyse market size, growth potential and competition.
Working across project life cycle, you will prepare and present proposals, set up and manage projects, making a crucial contribution to the continued success of the innovation process.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Providing insight that supports new products and brand extensions
- Support the development of key innovations and new concepts – from opportunity identification to post-launch evaluation
- Managing innovations projects on a day-to-day basis
You’ll need to have a strong understanding of publishing and media, tried and tested research and analytical skills, be highly organised with sound project management and planning skills.
Ideally, you’ll have a degree or equivalent experience.
As a natural motivator, you’ll collaborate openly, and be expert at communication, eliciting cooperation from a wide variety of sources. With a flexible and positive outlook, you’ll have a successful track record of information gathering and market segmentation expertise plus experience of producing and presenting business cases.
You’ll need a full understanding of licensing publishing, be an expert at building relationships and have the energy and drive to work in a fast-paced, challenging marketplace.
