Sir Geoffrey Leigh, who founded Leigh Academies Trust, and Bob Findlay, Chairman of the Trust and a recently joined member of the Company, witnessed the signing.

This is a historic event for the Company and brings it closer to its goal of resurrecting the old Stationers’ Company’s School, which closed in the 1980s. There is still a long way to go and the signing marks the start of a campaign to raise the necessary funds for the new school.

The new Academy will specialise in digital media, printing and publishing.

After the signing Kevin Dewey commented: “This is a wonderful opportunity for the Stationers’ Company and everyone in the communications and content industries to support secondary education and encourage young people to join these industries which are so vital to the economic success of the UK”.
