The title, carrying the strapline ‘Life at nature’s pace’, will create a new ‘seasonal category’, say the publishers, with editorial content that takes inspiration from UK’s growing seasons. Every two months LandScape magazine will celebrate the joy of the garden, simple seasonal kitchen food, traditional British crafts and the wonder of nature and the countryside. The magazine is a haven from the pressures of modern living; a chance to slow down and a reminder of the good things in life.
Led by editor Sheena Harvey, the tone of the magazine will be friendly and authoritative and aim to provide a relaxing and informative read.
LandScape magazine’s demographic is educated women aged 35 and upwards, with a keen interest in the countryside and nature. The 164 page magazine, published on high quality, glossy paper, will have a print circulation of 170,000 and a cover price of £3.90.
The website – www.landscapemagazine.co.uk – will be launched in tandem with the magazine and will offer readers additional content complimenting each issue.
The launch will be supported by a media partnership with The Times newspaper. A 32-page sampler of LandScape magazine, with exclusive content, will be distributed with every copy of the newspaper sold on Saturday, April 14. In addition, the launch is supported by a partnership with English Heritage, which will promote the magazine to its one million plus members.
At retail the launch will be supported by extensive promotional activity and the title will be available nationally in all magazine retailers including Waitrose and Marks & Spencer.
The inaugural issue of LandScape magazine will feature advertising from commercial partners covering the core editorial categories including gardening, interiors, home improvement, cookery and craft. There is also a home letting section which showcases readers’ holiday accommodation across the UK and Europe.
“This is an exciting moment for us because LandScape is a truly unique offering,” comments Sheena Harvey, Editor LandScape magazine. “It is a beautifully produced magazine you can lose yourself in - a calm and relaxing read and an escape from the pressures and stresses of everyday life. It also represents a unique opportunity for advertisers to reach a passionate and discerning group of consumers.”
LandScape magazine is published by Bauer Specialist Media, based in Peterborough, and its Managing Director is Sam Fitz-Gibbon.
