Fence launches digital archive

Daryl Rayner: "The title’s striking front covers come across beautifully in the digital format."

The digital edition of the literary publication is now available across web, iOS and Android platforms.

First conceived by Rebecca Wolff in 1998, each biannual issue of Fence pulls together an eclectic selection of poetry, fiction, art and criticism, seeking to shed light on literature that goes against the mainstream.

Fence is available for institutions and individual readers from around the world to purchase with cross-platform digital access. The new digital archive includes a wealth of online tools for literary enthusiasts and professionals, says Exact Editions. The seamless browsing experience both on the web and application is enhanced by a bookmarking functionality and the ability to download entire issues for offline browsing. The archive of back issues, as well as all the latest content, benefits from the advanced search function across the web and mobile devices. Every article, page and issue can be searched, shared and cited.

Rebecca Wolff, founder and co-editor of Fence, said about the archive: “Being able to access the completely searchable digital archive will give our readers the great opportunity to explore the content of our access issues past and present and expand their literary range.”

Managing Director of Exact Editions, Daryl Rayner, said about the launch: “The title’s striking front covers come across beautifully in the digital format, and the extensive archive of poetry and writing will be of invaluable use to literature students and professionals alike.”
