Zillah Byng-Thorne: "The Ascent CEO Promise is a crucial and positive movement."
This is the latest in an ongoing effort from Future to create a diverse and inclusive meritocracy, in order to foster a thriving, supportive company culture, says the company. Claire MacLellan, Managing Director of People & Culture at Future has also signed the pledge.
The petition, put forth by PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association), highlights three main goals the participating company or organisation promises to take:
1. We will make our workplaces and events open and trusting settings.
2. We will provide education on barriers to inclusivity, including unconscious bias.
3. We will share what we know, what we learn, and what needs improvement.
Zillah Byng-Thorne, CEO of Future says: “The Ascent CEO Promise is a crucial and positive movement that aligns perfectly with our values and outlook at Future. I am proud to sign my name alongside many distinguished leaders working to empower those challenged by discrimination to find success.”
Over 85 senior executives have signed the petition since the PCMA announced it at IMEX Frankfurt on May 15-17.
