Lucy Hall (pictured) has been deputy editor of the monthly gardening title for nearly ten years and her promotion follows the decision by founding editor Adam Pasco to step down after 22 successful years in the role.
With responsibility for the editorial direction and leadership of BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, Hall will work closely with web editor Daniel Haynes to develop content across multiple platforms. Lucy will report to Dominic Murray, Publishing Director.
Lucy Hall says: “It’s a real honour to become editor of Gardeners’ World Magazine, and to carry on the great work achieved by Adam and the team. So much of gardening is about sharing a passion for plants and the outdoors. So it’s very exciting to be involved in our expanding online and digital formats, which, alongside the printed magazine, are fantastic resources to help gardeners get results and provide a forum for ideas and problem-solving.”
Steven Seaton, Managing Director, London Specialist, Immediate Media Co, said: “I am delighted to have appointed Lucy Hall as the new editor of Gardeners’ World Magazine. Lucy’s passion for gardening and journalism - and her track record of success - means the UK’s leading gardening title is in great hands, with very green fingers.”
In further changes to the editorial team also announced today, David Hurrion, Horticultural Editor, is promoted to Deputy Editor and Ross Bayton, Horticultural Writer, is promoted to Gardening Editor. Adam Pasco will continue to work with the title as Editor at Large.
