MAG appoints Peter Rigby to the group’s board

Peter Rigby: "MAG reminds me of an early Informa."

Peter is a former Chief Executive and Executive Chairman of the media company, Informa, serving in those capacities from 1988 till 2013.

Under his 25 year tenure, Informa grew from a turnover of £50 million to £1.2 billion and was on the verge of becoming a FTSE 100 company, says MAG.

Chairman Mark Allen said: "We are delighted that Peter is joining us as a non-exec. Peter is a class act who steered Informa to extraordinary success. He is joining us at a relatively similar time in our cycle as to when he was appointed CEO. Peter's appointment is indicative of our desire to keep on growing and to become a major force in publishing and exhibitions.”

Peter Rigby said: “I'm delighted to be joining MAG, an ambitious company with an enthusiastic and forward looking management and work force. MAG reminds me of an early Informa with the combination of publishing and events and the opportunities that brings. I'm looking forward to helping MAG grow in any way I can.”
