Today (Thursday 5th April), Metro has teamed up with Fox Networks Group in the UK to deliver a translucent cover wrapped around 900,000 copies of the newspaper in London.

Metro partners with Fox TV to deliver translucent cover wrap

The standout ad format has been specially designed to create a buzz around the first European commission, Deep State – an eight-part espionage thriller series launching at 9pm on Fox TV tonight. The mysteriously-engaging cover wrap features the thriller’s big stars, Mark Strong, Joe Dempsie, Karima Adebibe and Alistair Petrie, as a teaser into the world of Deep State. Destined to grab the attention of morning commuters in the capital, say the publishers, the campaign includes a translucent two-page ad within today’s issue of the Metro too. The activity makes up part of a cross-platform campaign running across TV, out-of-home media, digital and social channels.

The use of special translucent paper laid over corresponding newsprint provides a unique and ideal opportunity to promote this exciting new series to our young valuable audience.”
