The print edition of Foodservice Consultant has been distributed to all FCSI members worldwide as well as to senior decision-makers in the wider hospitality community.
The launch edition features exclusive interviews with star chefs Heinz Beck, David Burke, Jamie Kennedy and Jody Adams; leading hoteliers Ian Schrager, Akram Touma and Reto Wittwer and a host of FCSI members discussing the very latest developments in foodservice. Three different versions of each edition of the magazine – each one containing bespoke regional content for the Europe, Africa and Middle East division, the Asia Pacific division and the Americas division of FCSI – have been produced.
The accompanying website has been designed to complement the new magazine with additional analysis, product reviews and online content. A monthly e-newsletter, featuring extra articles, market analysis and event previews and reviews, will launch in February and will be emailed to FCSI members as well as a further readership of 50,000 executives in the foodservice and hospitality sector.
London-based Progressive Customer Publishing (PCP) was commissioned by FCSI in summer 2012 to develop and launch the Foodservice Consultant portfolio to appeal to its diverse membership. PCP has worked closely with FCSI to ensure that the new digital offering and print magazine, which will replace the FCSI’s previous publication The Consultant, will share information and best practice, keep members and clients up to date with the latest developments in the foodservice industry and provide inspiration for new ideas and opportunities.
FCSI Worldwide president Ed Norman said: “The launch of the new website foodserviceconsultant.org is a really exciting development for FCSI. It means that now we have two websites to call upon: foodserviceconsultant.org will be marketed as the public face of the Society while fcsi.org will be the resource that we use to directly support our membership.
“Foodservice Consultant is a magazine that we can be very proud of. It is through the efforts of many dedicated members and PCP that we can put forward a magazine which looks superb and that truly showcases the professionalism of our Society and our global reach. FCSI constantly strives to lead the industry and we believe that the new magazine and website are a fantastic way of communicating that to our members and a wider community.”
PCP’s managing director Dan Davey said: “At Progressive we have a lot of experience building multi-channel content, so we are delighted to be working with FCSI on this new portfolio. We’re very happy with the end results and are looking forward to the reaction from FCSI members to Foodservice Consultant in print and online. It has been hugely enjoyable re-launching something that we feel will have a really positive impact on the foodservice industry.”
