Jonny Cooper: "Telegraph Family represents an opportunity for us to super-serve our online readers with content on a theme that is dear to their hearts."
It will include insight on parenting, advice on romantic relationships, guidance for grandparents - and much more, says The Telegraph.
Telegraph Family will be a natural home for many of The Telegraph's most popular columnists, from Bryony Gordon to Allison Pearson, Graham Norton to Harry de Quetteville.
On Saturday, 28 July, the section launched with a major six-part series, written by Technology special correspondent Harry de Quetteville and entitled 'How to Futureproof Your Kids'.
The series, which will be published in truncated form in the Saturday supplement and in full online, asks how the parents of today can prepare their kids for the world of the future, when the pace of technological advancement threatens to change our lives so fundamentally.
According to The Telegraph, How To Futureproof Your Kids answers the important questions that define modern parenting: what should you encourage your kids to do at school, or at university? Should they even go to university? And how do you deal with screen time, when screens will inevitably dominate their future careers, yet also appear to contribute to a rise in mental health issues?
Telegraph Family launch editor Jonny Cooper said: "Telegraph Family represents an opportunity for us to super-serve our online readers with content on a theme that is dear to their hearts. We know our readers value their positions as family members - whether that means as a mother, a husband, an aunt, a grandfather, a godparent, or any other relation. Telegraph Family will be a beacon for all these people, offering a friendly and knowledgeable steer through the challenges of family life in 2018".
