The Times and Sunday Times launch currency service

Yesterday, The Times and the Sunday Times launched a major new benefit - Times Currency Services - offering readers and non-readers access to “better” exchange rates and “superior” service for all their international currency transfers.

Research undertaken by News UK shows that over 400,000 Times and Sunday Times readers made at least one international currency or bank transfer in the last year.

News UK announces that readers are now able to make these transfers for lower fees than many high street banks and for no fee at all should the transaction be more than £5,000. Readers are also able to fix their fees for up to 3 years.

The Times and the Sunday Times are working in partnership with World First to deliver this new service which is open to everyone via this link.

As part of the offer, the Times Currency Services team will give customers free guidance to ensure the best possible service. Each client will benefit from the advice and support of an account manager to find them the best, most competitive way of transferring their money, says the publisher.

There are extra benefits on offer to the subscribers to the two titles as Times+ members will be able to make international transfers of any size with no fee incurred.

Neil Martin, News UK’s Business Development Director said: “This is an exciting opportunity for The Times and Sunday Times titles. Our readers often tell us that they want more benefits to help them save money. As so many regularly transfer money abroad Times Currency Services, with its highly competitive rates and fee free for Times+ members, is a great way to give them real savings and enhance our relationship with them.”
