The move will see key features from TVeasy - including the magazine’s popular easy planning guides and Q&A interviews with the nation’s favourite TV stars - incorporated into What’s On TV, and for a period of time What’s On TV will carry a cover flash to highlight the merger to readers, says Time Inc. The move will also see What’s On TV given a design makeover, as it incorporates the best of TVeasy into its editorial mix.
Angie O’Farrell, publishing director of Time Inc UK’s TV magazine portfolio says: “TVeasy launched in 2005 and quickly redefined the sector by being the first compact, simple to navigate TV guide. Our decision to strengthen the UK’s leading TV portfolio by investing in What’s On TV follows consumer research and will allow TVeasy to add maximum value to our premier TV weekly, What’s On TV.”
The first combined edition of What’s On TV and TVeasy will be on sale on 30th September. There are no redundancies as a result of this merger.
According to Time Inc, What's On TV provides nearly 3 million readers a week with a great value mix of entertaining TV features, the latest soap news and gossip, plus puzzles, competitions and easy-to-use TV listings. Bright, friendly and great value, What's on TV offers a no-nonsense, entertaining guide to TV for all the family.
