"...deep, compelling and completely searchable digital archive..."
The monthly publication has for 127 years been the definitive guide for numismatists around the globe, and is now available digitally with every issue
published, say the publishers. It is displayed and searchable from cover to cover on the Exact Editions platform, as well as with its own branded Android
and iOS apps.
The ANA, book/magazine printer Walsworth, and digital-content specialist Exact Editions have teamed up to present this resource online. More than 1,400
issues comprising 163,000 pages are now easily searchable, shareable and easily referenced by each of the ANA’s 24,000+ members. Association members have
for many years received the print edition as part of their membership; they will now be able to easily browse 127 years of back issues at the click of a
button.
“We are proud that ANA has entrusted us to digitize its respected library of The Numismatist, which dates back to 1888, so the magazines can be made
available to any member, any time, and on any device,” said Don Walsworth, president of Walsworth. “Further, Walsworth is excited about our partnership
with Exact Editions and the opportunity to bring this service to other magazines and journals across the United States. This is another example of our
commitment to help our customers succeed by delivering content through print and integrated channels.”
The extensive back-file of issues is now available to members at the click of a button. The archives also are a scholarly resource, available to
universities, corporations and other organisations, which can take out a specialist network subscription utilising Exact Editions IP authentication
technology.
Daryl Rayner, managing director of Exact Editions, said about the archive launch: “Exact Editions is delighted to partner with Walsworth to build this
deep, compelling and completely searchable digital archives. We look forward to building additional cross-platform archives with Walsworth, and are excited
about working with the ANA to bring this valuable resource to its 24,000+ members.”
