Ed Walker

Ed is co-director of Alma, an audience development consultancy he founded in late 2023. He spent nearly 14 years at Reach PLC, leading large-scale audience and digital projects as well as editing a number of titles including being the first editor-in-chief of InYourArea the firm’s hyperlocal platform. He founded Blog Preston CIC, a community news title in 2009, and has recently returned as co-editor of the title. Ed is also a leader-in-residence at the University of Central Lancashire’s journalism school where he leads on journalism innovation.
