John Barnes

John has been chief digital officer at William Reed since June 2020 and is responsible for driving digital transformation across the business. He has recently been appointed as the first chair of the PPA Digital Collective and AI taskforce.

John has nearly 40 years’ experience in business media and digital transformation. He was previously CDO at Infopro Digital, MD of digital at Incisive Media and MD of VNU Business Publications, starting his B2B career as a technology journalist. He was chairman of the AOP from 2010 to 2015.
