Karen Eccles and Jonathon Whiteley

Karen is chief commercial officer at The Telegraph, responsible for the commercial team, overseeing advertising, editorially integrated partnerships (EIPs), content syndication and e-commerce. Karen has over 20 years’ commercial experience. She joined The Telegraph in 2017 and has previously held positions as managing director digital, partnerships & innovation and digital sales and innovation director. Prior to joining The Telegraph, Karen worked at DC Thomson companies, Shortlist Media and Beano Studios.

Jonathon is CEO, Europe at Arc, responsible for both the strategic direction and day to day management of the European businesses in the Arc network including Agriconnect, Bridge2Food, Incisive Media and Marketing in Partnership (MiP). Having worked in business media for thirty years, Jonathon has a wealth of experience of managing digital and live brands through a myriad of business models, in multiple territories and sectors. He has launched and managed subscription information products, membership propositions, marketing services and advertising led editorial brands and numerous event models from expos to conferences and awards. Jonathon is a board director of the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) and a former director of the Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA).

They are co-chairs of the judging panel for the AOP Digital Publishing Awards 2024.
