The new high-resolution images made the site a huge hit during the Frankfurt motor show, bringing in a record-breaking 695,000 page visits to the site on opening day alone, says the publisher.
Autocar deputy editor Jim Holder said: “Now you can see the cars at a level of detail that does them justice, and there’s been no better showcase for this than the Frankfurt motor show.
“The picture galleries also mean it’s possible to enjoy the wackier concept cars better than ever before, so much so that I even find myself warming to them where before I might have dismissed them and moved on.”
The Frankfurt motor show gallery, which is organised by detail type, includes more than 200 pictures from the show.
