Evening Standard partners with The Ivy for Theatre Awards

The London Evening Standard has announced that the 2015 Theatre Awards, taking place this Sunday, 22nd November at The Old Vic, will be in partnership with The Ivy.

This is the first time that The Ivy has partnered with a major Awards ceremony, and reflects a shared support for London’s creative, theatrical talent. The partnership will see The Ivy integrated into the Evening Standard’s multi-platform awards coverage, as well as the awards ceremony itself where guests will enjoy a ‘taste of The Ivy’.

This new partnership between The Ivy and the London Evening Standard includes the ‘Editor’s Award’, presented to an individual or organisation for an outstanding contribution to theatre at the discretion of the Evening Standard Editor. Urban Caprice, The Ivy’s events company, will be providing the catering in collaboration with Gary Lee, Executive Chef at The Ivy.

Additional new partners for this year include Christian Louboutin who will be dressing Best Actress shortlistees as part of their association with the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress, and developer Stanhope PLC who join as an Official Supporter.

This year’s Emerging Talent Award will be presented in partnership with Burberry for the fourth consecutive year underlining their ongoing commitment to spotlighting and showcasing the best rising stars across the creative industries. In addition to dressing guests, Burberry will also have a position on the red carpet creating live content for their social media and digital channels.

The partnerships were negotiated by Dominic de Terville, Head of Sponsorship & Events, ESI Media who said: “This year’s Awards promises to be the most spectacular to date and I am really pleased that we have such an incredible line-up of partners all committed to celebrating the Arts. The headline partnership with The Ivy has enabled us to integrate them seamlessly, giving guests an enhanced experience on the night. The incredible visibility they’ll receive throughout the capital via the Evening Standard news brand reinforces the highly successful re-launch of the West Street institution earlier this year.”

Frances Dore, Director of Marketing, Caprice Holdings said: “Where else would you get such a high density of theatrical talent, skill and wit together other than in London and other than at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards? The Ivy is honoured to be part of this fantastic celebration of the year in theatre.”

The Theatre Awards take place this Sunday, 22nd November. This full list of this year’s awards will include: Best Actor, Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress, Best Play, Evening Standard Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical, Milton Shulman Award for Best Director, Best Design, Charles Wintour Award for Most Promising Playwright, Emerging Talent Award in partnership with Burberry, Editor’s Award in partnership with The Ivy and Lebedev Award.
