IPC launches online digital photography mag

IPC Inspire has announced the launch of Better Digital Photography – a free online digital magazine, distributed to two million consumers interested in technology and photography.

Better Digital Photography – edited by What Digital Camera deputy editor Mat Gallagher – is the first interactive magazine launch from the publishers of What Digital Camera and Amateur Photographer and is devoted to equipment and technique-focussed photography content.

The quarterly interactive e-zine is aimed at beginner to intermediate level photographers and features a raft of interactive elements including galleries, instruction, equipment reviews and video.

The title will be distributed to a targeted audience of around two million, with bespoke versions of the publication provided to some of the biggest and best retailers of photographic equipment in the UK – including Warehouse Express, Dixons, Park Cameras and PhotoBox – to be distributed via their databases. These tailored issues will contain each retailer’s own ads and prices as well as their own bespoke front cover.

Further distribution will be achieved via IPC Inspire databases and websites including Amateur Photographer, What Digital Camera, Web User and Trusted Reviews.

Publishing director Alex Robb says: “This is an exciting and innovative new venture for the photo portfolio. The editorial team have worked incredibly hard to create bespoke content, including technique videos and other interactive content. I am delighted that we have secured distribution to around two million photographers to ensure that as many people as possible benefit from the excellent tips and advice. Better Digital Photography is a further indication of how IPC continues to innovate in this competitive sector.”

Editor Mat Gallagher adds: “We wanted to create a product that helps the reader expand their knowledge, while being easy to use. It is thanks to the talents of art editor Steve Crabb that we have managed to produce such a visually stimulating and accessible magazine that surpasses anything else in the market place.”

Better Digital Photography is free to view or download at www.betterdigitalphotography.com.
