The purchase involves three regular frequency titles published by Kelsey (Aeroplane Monthly, Classic Military Vehicles and Jets) together with a number of Specials and Bookazines in the areas of aviation and military history.
Commenting on the acquisition, Adrian Cox, Managing Director of Key Publishing said: “We are extremely excited about the opportunities afforded by bringing Kelsey’s aviation and military history titles into Key. All the titles are well known to us and there is a natural fit and synergy with our extensive range of specialist leisure publications. We are committed to investing in these titles in order to reinvigorate them and are very much looking forward to bringing back the magic that made them great brands in the past.”
Steve Wright, CEO of Kelsey said “We have been very happy with the development of this part of our magazine portfolio over recent years but, as we consolidate in other sectors, the time is right to sell. We are delighted that these titles have found a good home at Key Publishing where we are confident that the magazines will thrive.”
The first issues to be produced by Key Publishing will be those on sale from October 2014.
