Audi to sponsor Motor Sport magazine Hall of Fame

Audi UK has announced its involvement in the 2013 Motor Sport magazine Hall of Fame awards, as the lead sponsor.

The annual ceremony – held since 2010 – honours the greatest names in motor racing and is an eagerly anticipated event on the social calendar.

The Paul Hamlyn Hall at the Royal Opera House, in London’s Covent Garden, will play host to this high profile celebration on Monday 25 February, during which yet more deserving inductees will join the Motor Sport honours list, say the publishers.

Martin Sander, Brand Director at Audi UK, said, “Motorsport has intrinsic value for Audi, not only in underscoring its reputation as a technology pioneer through Le Mans-winning sportscars such as the hybrid R18 e-tron quattro, but also, through close co-operation between our production and competition teams, as a means of enriching our road cars. We are therefore delighted to be associated with an event that recognises the achievements of the many remarkable drivers who make all this possible.”

Paying tribute to the ‘great and the good’ of motor racing, Motor Sport magazine’s fourth annual Hall of Fame awards is also supporting a unique charity auction on behalf of the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust.
