BBC Good Food's Christmas issue hits newstands

The Christmas issue of BBC Good Food magazine is now on sale, featuring 109 brand new recipes and an exclusive recipe calendar.

This year the food title has a luxe-look gold foil logo, and a chocolate dessert on the cover. It opens to reveal an advertorial gatefold from Castello cheeses, a media first for the magazine, which is part of a cross-platform deal that includes bbcgoodfood.com.

The December issue is BBC Good Food's biggest seller of the year and a must for home cooks and food lovers, with everything they need to cook up a feast of fabulous meals over the festive season, says the publisher. Recipes include new celebration cakes from the magazine team, plus Christmas recipes from judges and winners of the BBC's Great British Bake Off series.

According to Gillian Carter, Editor of BBC Good Food magazine: “Christmas can be a magical time – a chance to get together with loved ones, to cook and enjoy special dishes. But it also requires planning and preparation. That’s why we’ve packed the issue with lots of prep-ahead choices this year, as well as advice and helpful step-by step photos. The calendar is back by popular demand and features 12 original recipes stunningly photographed, with each dish featuring a key seasonal ingredient or suiting a special occasion.”

The December issue offers the reader an added incentive to buy the January issue with a voucher to get £1 off. The iPad version of the magazine is also on sale, featuring a video of food Editor Sarah Cook making chocolate gingerbread biscuits.

BBC Good Food magazine’s December issue is on sale now and costs £3.95.
