Big Carp celebrates 200th issue

Big Carp, from Bountyhunter Publications, is celebrating its 200th issue with a collectors’ special.

According to distributors COMAG Specialist: Launched in 1991, Big Carp has long been the big magazine for those who fish big carp.

With a loyal and dedicated readership, Big Carp has real articles by real anglers, written by experts who have years of experience of catching carp to impart, as well as young anglers who have only recently started the hobby, but have found themselves ‘hooked’.

Whether it is the latest news from the carp scene, technological improvements in kit, rigs and baits, the best methods to land a ‘history’ fish or information about fisheries both at home and abroad, Big Carp tackles it all, with great articles and photography throughout.

Featuring regular ‘Tales From The Water’s Edge’ stories, interviews with anglers on-the-bank, seasonal strikes, exclusive encounters with big fish and more, every issue of Big Carp has something for all carp fishermen looking to land the big one or who are willing to share their stories about the one that got away!

A collectors’ special, issue No.200 of Big Carp looks back at some of the biggest features (and fish!) from the previous 199 issues, catching up with some of the star anglers involved to see what they have been up to and revisiting the places these encounters happened.

Little known outside the world of angling, Terry Dempsey is known as the ‘Urban Myth’ in carp fishing circles and considered one of the greatest anglers of his generation. Big Carp has recently met with him to talk about his records and achievements and the exclusive interview with the ‘Urban Myth’ himself will appear in issue No.200

A milestone in carp angling writing, issue No.200 of Big Carp is going to be its biggest ever, so readers are encouraged not let it get away and urged to catch themselves a copy!
