Claudia Winkleman to host PPA Awards 2014

The PPA has announced that Claudia Winkleman will host the PPA Awards 2014 on 10 July at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The PPA writes: A regular on prime-time BBC, from this autumn Claudia will replace Sir Bruce Forsyth as the permanent host of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Tess Daley, having already hosted the Strictly results show and spin-off show Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.

Claudia hosts BBC1’s flagship cinema show Film 2014 with Claudia Winkleman and Danny Leigh, as well as her own radio show The Arts Show with Claudia Winkleman on BBC Radio 2.

She also presents the new homemaking series The Great British Sewing Bee, and has hosted the Sky Premiere live coverage of the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes. She has also fronted the first two series of Let’s Dance for Sport Relief on BBC1, and has been one of the main presenters for both Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.

Claudia graduated from Cambridge University with an MA Honours in History of Art. She is a regular contributor to The Independent and London’s Evening Standard.
