Easy Living suspends print edition

The print publication of Easy Living will be suspended from the July issue, it has been announced by Nicholas Coleridge, Managing Director of Condé Nast Britain.

The Easy Living website will continue as now, following a redesign last year. In accordance with UK law, Condé Nast will now enter a period of statutory consultation with the title’s team, following which a final decision will be made on the future of the print publication.

“It is a sad decision to have to take, but we see few encouraging signs in this part of the market, with challenges at newsstand and an increasing reliance in the sector on multi-bagged offerings. Easy Living’s print edition has a significant loyal fan base and subscriber base whom we will be reluctant to disappoint, and a particularly talented editorial and publishing staff. However, our digital reach far outweighs that of print, and Easy Living is thriving online,” remarked Nicholas Coleridge.

Launched in 2005, Easy Living is the number three player in its six-title sector. Easy Living’s most recent ABC was 150,854, up 7.6% year on year.  The Easy Living website, www.easyliving.co.uk, grew in unique users by 466% in the first quarter of 2013.
