Goodtoknow appoints new editor

Goodtoknow has appointed Charlotte Gunn as its new editor. Charlotte is currently managing editor of the brand and in her new role will report to publishing director, Roger Cummings.

Roger Cummings, publishing director, goodtoknow says: “Charlotte’s dedication to the fast-paced world of digital, coupled with her experience and deep understanding of the goodtoknow brand and audience make her the perfect editor. I am delighted she will be leading the team at such an exciting time.”

Charlotte adds: “It’s an absolute thrill to take the helm of a site that I’ve helped grow and develop for the last seven years. The world of online content is changing so rapidly; I welcome the challenge of driving goodtoknow forward in what is a truly exciting time in digital publishing.”

Charlotte was on the original launch team for goodtoknow in 2007. In 2008 Charlotte was appointed recipes and diets editor for goodtoknow, helping form the initial food content strategy.

After a spell as features and lifestyle editor at RedOnline, Charlotte re-joined the team in Spring 2011 as deputy editor and latterly took on the role of managing editor. Since taking on the role she has overseen a major shift in editorial strategy, launched three new apps and worked closely with the technical and commercial teams to develop the brand.

Charlotte takes up her role with immediate effect and replaces Jolene Akehurst.
