Guardian appoints new client planning director

Guardian News and Media (GNM) has announced the appointment of Charlotte Taylor to the role of client planning director.

Charlotte goes to GNM in March from media and communications agency, PHD, where she is currently a business director. Working in the fast-paced agency world, Charlotte has a strong track record in securing the best strategic output for her clients and agency, says the Guardian.

Over the last six years she has been responsible for a number of PHD’s key clients including Cadbury, Kraft, Sainsbury’s Bank and Canon.

In her new role, Charlotte will report to GNM's, commercial director, Nick Hewat, and will be leading a team responsible for maintaining and developing direct client and agency planner relationships - highlighting the innovative ways advertisers can engage with the Guardian's progressive audiences.

Nick Hewat, commercial director, GNM, said: “I am delighted Charlotte is joining our team. She’s an experienced agency leader who will add significantly to our understanding of how to talk to and influence senior agency and client personnel. I’m confident she will bring new skills and knowledge to the team. Coming from PHD, I know she is curious, intelligent and energetic - characteristics highly valued at GNM!

“This new appointment adds a further string to the bow of GNM’s sales team who are driving forward GNM’s commercial ambitions.”

Charlotte Taylor said: “I am very excited to be joining GNM at such a dynamic time for the newsbrand. I will be hitting the ground running and making sure that the agencies and planners know what a world-class offering GNM has.”
