ICIS launches new European gas fundamentals coverage

ICIS has launched a flexible new data service for European gas markets.

ICIS European Gas Fundamentals features normalised data on supply and demand, cross-border flows, nominations, change alerts and storage. Covering all the gas markets across Europe, along with additional detail on key markets such as Britain, Germany and the Netherlands, this new service is designed to meet the needs of industry players head-on, says publishers RBI.

Access to the ICIS data is via a secure FTP feed which provides updates hourly. Subscribers have complete freedom to download, interrogate and use the information to suit their business requirements. Data can feed automatically into internal systems.

In addition, a daily snapshot report gives country level summaries of market movements, enabling a quick insight into the current gas fundamentals environment. This gives a valuable new holistic viewpoint for local market participants who are focused on individual countries within the region. It also provides a quick and easy overview of daily market movements for all subscribers.

A unique feature of the ICIS European Gas Fundamentals report is the cross-border flow map. This shows movements between countries at a glance and gives an informative visual perspective across the entire region.

“Too often, valuable resources are wasted on the time-consuming task of gathering information or the complex activities involved in maintaining data integrity. We’re taking away those headaches and enabling gas fundamentals players to focus on their core activities whilst we do the rest.” said Commercial Director, Simon Platt from ICIS.
