Following Jonathan’s departure, he will be succeeded as editor of TV&Satellite Week by Ian Abbott, who will also retain his current role as editor of TVTimes.

Publishing director Angie O'Farrell says: "I’ve had the very real pleasure of working with Jonathan for the last eight years. He is always a consummate professional, combining a deep understanding of all things editorial with real insight into audiences’ motivations and interests. In short, Jonathan is a great editor – he leaves a huge gap and will be sorely missed by all of us."

Jonathan adds: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at IPC and it has been a real privilege to work with so many talented people. I will, of course, be very sad to leave, but I am also greatly looking forward to what awaits in the future, whether it be in publishing or beyond.”
