Paper stars in BBC1's The Apprentice episode

Archant Herts & Cambs weekly the Herts Advertiser featured on the nation’s television screens this week in BBC1’s popular The Apprentice series, following its coverage of local contestant Luisa Zissman.

Advertiser editor Matt Adams and reporter Samantha Lewis (pictured) were featured in Monday’s programme The Final Five following their extensive coverage of Luisa.

During the programme the spotlight is shone on the final five contestants, including the successful businesswoman as cameras went to her hometown of St Albans to learn about her life away from the show.

Among those who express their support for Luisa are the Herts Advertiser and her employees from Dixie’s Cupcakery in Market Place.

Matt said: “We were delighted to be asked to take part in the filming as Luisa is a good friend of the newspaper and from an early stage we’ve said we are backing her all the way.”

Samantha said on the show:  “Writing about Luisa has become my baby and I am doing it every week, watching the show, then getting stories up straight away afterward it has finished. She is doing so well that we are really loving watching her.”

Lord Sugar’s trusted aides Nick Hewer and Karren Brady also discuss the 26-year-old’s strengths and weaknesses ahead of the penultimate episode.
