Redan Publishing appoints two new Managing Directors

Children’s magazine Publisher, Redan Publishing, has undergone an executive reshuffle appointing Jenny O’Connor and Julie Jones as joint Managing Directors.

Jenny (pictured on the left) is currently Group Editorial Director and as well as continuing to edit pre-school multi character magazine Fun To Learn Friends, she will take a greater role in the running of the company as a whole. Jenny founded the company alongside Robert Sutherland and Diana Turner in 1990 and her influence has been fundamental in the development of the overall style, quality and success of Redan’s titles.

Julie Jones (on the right) is currently Publishing Director and will maintain her links with the licensing and distribution side of the company, in addition to taking on new responsibilities in the overall development of the publishing house. Julie started at Redan in April 2003 as Marketing Manager, promoted to Publishing Director in 2005 Julie has become a key decision maker in the signing of new licenses and is vital to the success of the sale and distribution of all titles.

Robert Sutherland will continue to be a driving force in the company, assuming the role of Group Chairman, but his focus will be on the development of the US side of the business with rapid growth expected in this territory with new launches in the pipeline and a major new licensing deal to be announced, says the company.
