It’s a Legend of Zelda celebration from Imagine Publishing, with both games and Retro Gamer sporting a foil The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD cover. These special cover treatments have been arranged exclusively with Nintendo to showcase the new HD Wii-U version of the acclaimed The Legend of Zelda franchise.
According to Imagine, games is renowned for its world-beating access to key developers in the games industry, and this month interviews producer Eiji Aonuma about the past, present and future of The Legend of Zelda. The front cover of the magazine features Link in a classic pose from Zelda: Wind Waker, on a special gold foil.
Samuel Roberts, games Editor commented, “This issue is something I’m really proud of, both as a love letter to Zelda and as a work of cover design craft. Simplicity won out with the use of the artwork – we focused on the iconography of Link as a character, and created one of the best games covers in recent memory.”
