Telegraph Men announces Media Man of the Year

Telegraph Men, Telegraph Media Group's (TMG) new online men's channel has announced that the winner of their competition to find the Media Man of the Year is Mark Linnett of Manning Gottlieb OMD.

Picked from a shortlist of 25 by the voting public, the top five finalists also included Nik Gill of Mindshare, Chris Woods of OMD, Michael Thomas of Maxus and Jonathan Manning of Walker Media.

Paul Davies, Editor of Telegraph Men, made the final decision to choose Mark Linnett as the winner, who will enjoy a free trip for two to NYC plus tickets to see the Yankees.

Entrants were directed to a competition microsite where they were asked to upload a photo of themselves or their nominee, and answer five questions related to the sections of the site that best described their sense of style, fitness and personality.

There were over 180 entries in total from more than 30 individual media agencies and over 4,200 votes received.

Paul Davies, Editor, Telegraph Men, said: "We were delighted to see so many people take part in this competition and the quality of entries was incredibly high. It was extremely difficult to pick a winner from the final five, but we decided to go with the person whose entry best summed up the values of Telegraph Men and who brought a smile to our faces. The level of interest in the competition mirrors the fact that Telegraph Men has had a hugely successful first two months with excellent audience figures and some terrific, wide-ranging content. We hope everyone will continue to support it."
