Telegraph restructures Classified Department

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has restructured its Classified department to reflect changes in the market and to meet clients needs more effectively.

The re-named Specialist Sales team will continue to be led by Director James Lancaster (pictured).

Specialist Sales will be responsible for advertising on and offline within:  Travel, Jobs, Education, Property, Entertainments, Motoring, Gardening, Fine Arts, and Lifestyle.

A recent report (Source: The Enders UK Classified Advertising 2011 report, published on August 19th 2011) which stated that the Classified sector has the “potential to grow revenues on the back of extension into adjacent services” reflects the Specialist Sales department’s focus on supporting areas of strength and expanding the portfolio within them.

James Lancaster, Director Specialist Sales, TMG said: “This restructure puts TMG in the position to respond to the rapid pace of change we are seeing in this market. It enables us to offer the best bespoke solutions and breadth of reach across all our platforms including events, press, digital and mobile.”

The Specialist Sales department made significant headway in 2011 working with new partners including UCAS and Goodwood and launching a suite of innovative products including apps, magazines and supplements.
