James will join the Guardian in May following six years as group chief financial officer and executive director of PA Media Group until 2025, said the publisher earlier this month.
Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Anna Bateson, James will be responsible for the Group’s global financial strategy and operations. James will also join the Guardian Media Group board of directors.
