Laura joined the NewstrAid team in 2020 having previously worked as Head of Finance for Countrywide Plc.
Neil Jagger, NewstrAid CEO said: “Since joining NewstrAid as Financial Controller three years ago, Laura has redefined and developed the finance function for the charity to provide greater clarity and understanding of our income and expenditure.
“This in turn has allowed the charity to forecast more accurately and make better decisions on its medium to long term future. Laura’s all-round contribution at Management, Investment and Trustee Board meetings is very significant and is a major factor in this appointment.”
Laura qualified as a Chartered Accountant over 10 years ago and was awarded Fellowship of the ICAEW in 2022. She also has a first class honours degree in Applied Accounting and recently completed a Diploma in Charity Finance and Accounting with the Bayes Business School (formerly Cass).
Laura’s promotion is with immediate effect.
