Trinity Mirror adds three more titles to monthly ABCs

Trinity Mirror has confirmed that a further three key regional titles will be included in ABC’s monthly newspaper sales report.

The Journal, Western Mail and Huddersfield Examiner will now be included in the monthly sales audit from May 2013 onwards.

The move brings 14 of the company’s key regional titles in line with the group’s national titles’ reporting dates.

The provision of more regular and up to date ABC figures is welcomed by buyers.

Steve Goodman, Managing Director Print Trading, Group M, said of the move: “It’s great news that Trinity Mirror is moving to monthly reporting for its daily titles.  As a buyer it is imperative that we have timely accurate industry-agreed data at our fingertips so we can provide the best options for our clients."

All of the group’s key regional news brands have launched new websites and mobile sites in recent months and new e-editions for tablet devices are being introduced throughout the summer, says Trinity Mirror.

Mark Hollinshead, Chief Operating Officer of Trinity Mirror, said: "Our clients require robust and transparent audience data on all of our news brands – in print, online, mobile and e-editions – delivered on a far more regular basis.

“In the coming months we will also be reporting our digital numbers simultaneously for these brands.”
