UK launch: Motor Trend

Motor Trend, the US motoring title published by Source Interlink Media, launches on the UK newsstand on 3 December, priced £3.50.

According to distributors COMAG: Originally launched in 1949, Motor Trend has had a number of owners in its 64-year history, but has always been an authoritative and respected source of information about cars of all kinds.

Now firmly established under a new publisher, Motor Trend has rebuilt its reputation as one of the top automotive magazines in the U.S. and is looking to expand internationally.

Eclectic, exciting and always entertaining, Motor Trend puts the reader in the driving seat of some of the world’s most fascinating cars. From million-dollar Ferraris fender to fender with thousand-dollar Fords, to Bugattis bumper to bumper with Buicks and everything in between.

With some of the best writers and photographers in the industry, Motor Trend visits all the car shows, car launches and motor sport events around the world to give readers all the news, reviews and interviews from the international automotive industry.

Going behind the scenes of the biggest events, Motor Trend regularly features sneak peeks at vehicles of the future, the latest concept cars, upcoming vehicle launches and more.

Under various guises, Motor Trend has awarded its ‘Car of the Year’ accolade every year and it is now regarded as one of the most important distinctions in the automotive industry, regularly receiving coverage in the mainstream press, with manufacturers vying for inclusion.

Not only looking at modern American cars, Motor Trend has articles and features on the car tests of imports, classics, track cars and used cars, as well as maintenance tips and car care.

Launching in the UK with the Jan-14 issue, Motor Trend will bring all of its automotive knowledge and experience, as well as insider access to global car makers to a British audience.

Having rated all of the cars released this year in a range of categories, the Jan-14 issue of Motor Trend has the list of contenders and the overall winner of ‘Car of the Year’ 2014.
