Unique Magazines, the online magazine subscription service, has launched a new mobile site as the company enters into the final week of the annual rush for Christmas gift subscriptions.

John Porrett, Managing Director of Unique Magazines said: “With the growth of smartphones and tablet computers, mobile devices are increasingly becoming one of the most popular ways to access and receive information. Online purchasing is just one of the areas benefiting from fast, made to measure mobile sites as more and more customers demand web portals which fit in with their on-the-go online mobile lifestyle.”

“We are constantly investing in our digital presence thanks to our in-house team of digital and technology specialists to not only ensure that customers can purchase their favourite magazine subscriptions, but can access some of the more added-value areas of our site. This supports our wider marketing strategy for our growing range of 3,000 lifestyle, specialist interest and business titles.”

The launch of the Unique Magazines mobile site follows £150,000 investment by the company into improving their digital presence this year, as the company looks to broaden their service for a growing number of business to business customers including libraries, schools and communication and marketing organisations across the UK and Europe, says the company.

John continues: “Ownership of smartphones and tablet computers is expected to sky rocket following the 2012 Christmas period and we wanted to launch our mobile platform at the right time to provide an added option to the 10,000 visitors to Unique Magazines every week looking to access information, subscription details and gift options from our main website.

“Unique Magazines have ambitious growth plans for the next two years and are aiming to capitalise on our relationships with publishers to compete with major names in the marketplace.
