Archant launches Cheshire Resident

Archant has launched a new luxury title for the Cheshire market and also made significant improvements to its existing title, Cheshire Life.

These moves represent a major vote of confidence in the county by Archant Lifestyle, which publishes high quality county and specialist magazines throughout the UK, says the company.

Cheshire Resident is a new glossy high pagination monthly printed on superior paper. It joins Cheshire Life and Living Edge as part of Archant’s Warrington-based stable of lifestyle titles and is aimed at the ‘super-luxury’ end of the market

The new monthly, edited by experienced north west journalist Janet Reeder, will be distributed free with 20,000 delivered directly to properties valued in the £750,000+ bracket along with a further 5,000 to homes in affluent areas of Manchester and a further 5,000 going to selected high-end businesses.

Using exceptional photography and original, locally-based editorial, Cheshire Resident will carry exclusive features, news and reviews from the vibrant food scene, a guide to entertainment in the region, interviews with the stars, interiors, health and beauty, fashion, travel, motoring, property and luxury travel, says Archant.

Meanwhile, Cheshire Life, now in its 80th year, is relaunching with a new cover design, top quality paper stock and lay-out changes.

Archant Lifestyle’s northern Publishing Director, Rhiannon Wragg, said: “These are exciting times for the company and these moves demonstrate our determination to remain as market leaders.

“This launch will complete our ambition of layering the Cheshire market with a super-luxury title, a much-loved and contemporary Cheshire Life and the niche lifestyle publication Living Edge. Together, they represent a formidable package for advertisers and readers.”
