Burgess yacht brokers choose Stonewash platform

Digital publishing solutions provider, Stonewash, have announced that it has worked alongside Burgess, the superyacht business, to help them relaunch their in-house publications on the Apple Newsstand.

The free-to-download app, designed for both Apple iPad and iPhone, includes Burgess’s ‘The EDGE’ newsletter magazine. Produced quarterly, The EDGE focuses on yachting news, trends, yacht shows and destinations.

The free 12 month annual subscription, which makes available all issues released during the term of the subscription, is accessed from within the app itself.

Since the magazine moved to Stonewash’s Magazine Framework, monthly app downloads have increased by 237% and email registrations have increased by 445% significantly enhancing their digital readership, says Stonewash.

Rob Grainger, CEO of Stonewash, says: “It’s been a privilege to work with Burgess, especially their openness to new ideas and forward-thinking stance, something which is crucial in today’s dynamic publishing environment. By transferring and re-launching their app using our Magazine Framework, we have been able to assist them in adding new features as well as launching them on the Apple Newsstand. The end results have been exceptional and a testament to the teamwork from both parties.”

Sophie Holmes, Marketing Executive at Burgess, says: “We chose Stonewash because they come from a publisher’s background and, strong technology aside, they also know how to increase app downloads and boost a publication’s general awareness. We’ve experienced this at first hand and I am extremely pleased with the initial results. We are also delighted with the smooth transition from our previous digital solutions provider, especially the minimal disruption and ease of transfer.”

The application can be downloaded from the App Store.
