Dita Von Teese headlines Vogue Cafe Kiev launch party

Friday 15th November saw the doors to Condé Nast International’s latest restaurant venture open with the Vogue Café in the historic podol area of Kiev, Ukraine.

Hosted by Elisaveta Yurusheva, Queen of Burlesque Dita Von Teese headlined the launch party, performing her trademark Martini glass routine. Guests included Kseniya Sobchak, Asya Mhitarian, Gary Robinson, Director of Condé Nast International Restaurants, Editor in Chief of Vogue Ukraine Masha Tsukanova, TV-presenter Alexander Tsekalo, publisher Boris Lozhkin, artists Ilya Chychkan and Masha Shubina, designers Liliya Pustovit and Igor Gulyaev, architect Vera Titova, fashion model Nataliya Gotsiy, and Lilia Poustovit.

Vogue Café Kiev has three distinct dining areas; visitors enter through the Guest Hall, and will then be seated in the Lounge Hall (seating 55), the Restaurant Zone (seating 68), or the limited access VIP Zone. The décor combines classical and modern fixtures and furniture, including items by designers such as Philippe Starck, Ferruccio Laviani, Michele De Lucci and Giancarlo Fassina. Large floor to ceiling windows flood the room with natural light, complementing the chic interiors.

The menu concept is driven by high quality and its aesthetic approach to presentation, says Vogue. Vogue Café Kiev will offer customers one of the largest collections of vintage wines in the City, services of a professional sommelier, ‘haute cuisine weeks’ from celebrity chefs, as well as the latest issues of Vogue magazine from all over the world.

Vogue Café Kiev is the third restaurant globally to carry the brand name of the fashion title, following the first, which opened in 2003 in Moscow by restaurateur Arkady Novikov, and in May earlier this year the Vogue Café in Dubai.
