The 6.6 upgrade will appear across all Apps using the Exact Editions platform including Gramophone, Grand Designs and Dazed & Confused. However, says Exact Editions, this is not just bookmarking. This is Exact Editions bookmarking.
With an Exact Editions subscription readers have access to all the available back issues of their chosen magazine, with Gramophone currently holding the record as the largest digital magazine archive in iTunes dating back to 1923. These issues are searchable, and can now be bookmarked and shared.
The Exact Editions Apps are the first to offer this rich combination of sharing features taking full advantage of the specialist interest communities that many magazines appeal to, says the company. Individuals receiving a link as a tweet, for example, will be able to go straight to that page. Subscribers will see the page immediately, non subscribers will be invited to subscribe or the publisher may choose to release the page/s for open access.
Want to be able to quickly and easily bring up all the pasta recipes from Sainsburys Magazine? Then, says Exact Editions, simply search, save and sync and have the recipes all there whenever you need. The bookmarking feature means that App subscribers can create folders and list within folders of their favourite articles. These folders and lists can be synced for offline reference. The bookmarking feature is especially useful to those subscribing to magazines with rich archives.
