Finco has upgraded both its polywrapping machines with the ability to automatically to run the Side Seal unit, which is suitable for enclosing medium to long-run magazines and multi-pack promotional issues.
The Side Seal unit gives the publisher the option to have the magazine wrapped and automatically sealed along the vertical edge of the publication, instead of the seal running down the middle of the polybag. Wrapping the magazine in this way seals the product tightly so that the magazine stays in place in its bag, enabling the front cover and polywrap artwork to be clear of joins, and supplements are clearly viewable from the reverse of the polybag, making the cover messages stand out and providing more impact to the potential reader, says Finco.
