Immediate Media Co launches Koala Brothers app

A new app, based on the children’s brand, The Koala Brothers is now available in the UK on iPad and iPhone.

Action-packed and educational, says Immediate Media, the Koala Brothers TV show is a stop-frame, model animation series for pre-school children featuring the adventures of two brothers, Frank and Buster whose mission in life is to help others in the Australian outback.

Developed by Immediate Media Co and Spellbound Entertainment, the new app combines the global popularity of The Koala Brothers with the editorial expertise of Immediate Media Co’s digital and editorial teams. It is aimed at 3-6 year olds and invites young children to help The Koala Brothers on their interactive Outback mission with 11 different games based upon this popular TV show. Giving young children the chance to learn and play with the characters on a new platform, the app offers the following features:

• Six zones: literacy, maths, feeling good, physical development, creativity and finding out

• Activities that support Early Years Development

• Eleven activities including stickering, colouring, workbooks, physical activities and games

• Highly interactive interface

• Responsive to multiple input: tap, swipe, stretch

• Genuine Koala Brother characters sound effects

• Informative parent zone

• Easy to use navigation

Pauline Cooke, Publisher of Immediate Media Co’s Pre-school titles commented: “We are delighted to be launching this lively app which brings the much-loved Koala Brothers characters to life through a new and exciting multi-layered medium. We have really enjoyed working with Spellbound to create a fun and creative app which transports young children to the world of these adventurous outback dwellers so they can interact and learn with them.”
