IPC renews single-source pre-media contract with Rhapsody

Rhapsody, the cross-publishing and pre-media specialist, has announced that it has successfully retained the IPC Media pre-media contract, signing a renewal of the agreement until December 2016.

The deal reinforces Rhapsody’s position as the single-source supplier of pre-media services across all IPC Media magazine titles, including flagship brands such as Marie Claire, Country Life, InStyle, What’s on TV and Ideal Home. IPC’s editorial and production teams will continue to use Rhapsody’s Emagine production system as the cross-publishing software platform to produce its printed titles and digital editions. Rhapsody will also provide the full range of creative production services such as page assembly, image retouching and colour management.

Les Pipe, Managing Director, Rhapsody said: “We are delighted that IPC has made the decision to renew the pre-media contract with Rhapsody and will continue using Emagine as its internal production workflow tool. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with IPC and to providing innovative cross-publishing solutions for its evolving print and digital requirements.”

Richard Hill, Production Operations Director, IPC Media said: “We are pleased to extend our agreement with Rhapsody. Our ongoing utilisation of Emagine and the associated pre-media services that Rhapsody provides forms an important part of our workflow across multiple brands and locations.”
