Mobile has long been a crucial channel for job boards with 88% of UK jobseekers having used a mobile device to search for jobs in 2013 and tablet traffic more than doubling in the last year. This growing trend led Madgex to develop a new responsive job board platform to meet the needs of today's multi-device user.
HRjobs.co.uk was built using a design which renders to the device a jobseeker is using without losing any functionality or access to content. The dynamic layout surfaces core elements of the site such as creating an account, setting up email job alerts and search & applying for jobs.
Jobseekers will also benefit from the recent Madgex FileChooser feature, allowing candidates to upload CVs from cloud based services such as Dropbox, Google Drive or SkyDrive. This has long been an issue for jobseekers using a mobile or tablet as many mobile devices can't store documents such as CVs. Filechooser has opened up job opportunities meaning a quicker apply for job seekers and improved application rates for employers, says Madgex.
Responsive websites serve all content from one URL, meaning there is only one site to manage along with fewer SEO considerations. This helps to increase organic mobile search rankings on major search engines and increased candidate attraction.
