MailOnline breaks 7 million barrier

The MailOnline’s daily global figures have hit a new record high, breaking through the 7 million barrier for the first time ever.

MailOnline says: This month’s ABC certificate for worldwide traffic confirms that in November 2012, MailOnline recorded an average of 7,109,203 browsers every day: 40% higher than in November 2011 and 6.5% higher than October 2012

That’s 79% per cent more visitors a day than its nearest UK rival, The Guardian which recorded 3,961,166 visitors a day, while The Telegraph was on 2,978,782.

Mail Online also recorded its best ever month for web and app traffic, setting new global and UK records.

The site, which became the world’s biggest newspaper website at the beginning of the year, hit a new record global figure in November 2012 with 112,167,402 browsers according to new figures released today by ABC.

This is an increase of 27,189,942 additional browsers on November 2011 which represents a 32% increase.

And in a month they read 2.08 billion pages, an increase of 95% on last November.

The UK Monthly visitor figure of 40,933,682 was also a new high.

And for the second successive month in the UK, there have been more than 3 million average daily unique visitors to the MailOnline in a month.

Its iPhone and Android apps also achieved monthly and daily highs.  747,578 users accessed the MailOnline iPhone app globally in November 2012, while 329,807 users accessed the app each day, that’s 5% higher than the previous month.

Globally, there were 515,854 visitors for November on the Android App, with an average of 137,716 each day.

Comscore, the leading global internet metrics company, said that in November 2012, MailOnline recorded an average of 6.973 million daily unique visitors against 6.818 million for the NYTimes.com, and 51.967 million monthly unique visitors against 49.425 million for the NYTimes.com.

MailOnline also received 45% more Monthly Unique Visitors and 58% more Average Daily Visitors than BBC News globally.
