MDAS survey 2012 set to go live

The PPA’s Mail Distribution Accreditation Scheme (MDAS) customer satisfaction survey is set to go live.

The survey assesses MDAS-accredited companies' performance on an annual basis.

Feedback from nine clients from each accredited company forms the basis of the survey that includes a series of service aspect performance measures.

The MDAS scheme was launched in 2008 as a quality standard designed to generate trust and confidence for publishers in the field of mail distribution.

Nicola Rowe (pictured), Director of Circulation & Member Services, said: “This is an excellent scheme which really benefits both the accredited companies and their publisher clients; it provides a competitive advantage over non-accredited companies, and it gives publishers greater confidence when selecting a supplier.

“MDAS scheme members should be taking every opportunity to highlight their accreditation to clients – and publishers should certainly be making MDAS accreditation a key requirement in the tender process."

Last year’s survey results found that nearly 90 per cent of publishers would definitely use a distribution company accredited by the MDAS scheme in the future.

They also offered an insight into publishers’ service priorities, with ‘overall service reliability’ deemed most important and ‘willingness to share transparency of services and suppliers used’ regarded as least important.

Participation in the survey is mandatory and failure by companies to comply leads to a loss of accreditation.
