New Monthly British VOGUE App for iPad

British VOGUE goes monthly on iPad today, with the September ‘International Collections’ issue available to download from Newsstand on the App Store.

Having existed in print form since 1916, British VOGUE unveiled its first digital edition with the December 2010 issue, followed by the June and December 2011 issues for iPad. The now monthly Newsstand edition marks a digital milestone for the magazine, allowing users to enhance their sensory experience of the fashion bible with interactive features and media-rich content, says Conde Nast.

Showcasing the largest ever number of editorial fashion pages with over 90 in total, the September 2012 Newsstand issue will also enable users to access and interact with exclusive videos and images, including a chance to go behind the scenes of Lucinda Chambers’ and Nick Knight’s Olympic fashion moment with backstage images featuring Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Georgia May Jagger. Users can also enjoy exclusive video footage of Mia Wasikowska from Bruce Weber and Nick Knight’s film of September cover supermodel Karlie Kloss.

Alexandra Shulman (pictured), Editor of British VOGUE, remarks, “This month is the biggest international collections issue of Vogue I have produced in 20 years as editor. Simultaneously we launch the new British VOGUE App for iPad, now available monthly for the first time, which will enable you to experience the magazine digitally and allows us to bring some of its print features to life. Nick Knight’s shoot ‘Midas Touch’ is an excellent example of how the magazine and app can work together. It brings a new depth and enjoyment to the images you will see in these pages.”

Rachel Reavley, Associate Publisher of British VOGUE, comments, “The British VOGUE App for iPad has been very successful and going monthly has really excited our fashion and luxury clients. We are proud to say that we have 26 links and three media rich enhancements from Anya Hindmarch, Velvet and The Australian Wool Industry. They are smart, stylish and show great originality.”

The British VOGUE App for iPad has been created by an in-house design team with exclusive video footage supplied by Nick Knight and Bruce Weber, and rotating imagery by Nice Images.

The British VOGUE App is priced at £3.99 per issue or £39.99 for an annual subscription.
